Many Cape Town pools can stay open year-round with reduced run times and slightly different chemical targets. If you prefer to "close" the pool, we can lower the water level, add winterising chemicals, and cover it properly.
Either way, keep leaves and debris out. A pool cover helps, but if you don't use one, skim regularly so organic matter doesn't sink and stain or affect water quality.
Run the pump for a few hours each day (or as recommended for your system) to keep water moving and avoid stagnation. We can advise on timer settings for winter.
When the weather warms up, we'll test the water, balance chemicals, and give the pool a thorough clean so you're ready to swim without delay.
